(Healing emotional mental illnesses, psychosomatic conditions such as phobias, and others using hypnotherapy).
Hypnotherapy
As you know, Hypnotherapy has been proven to help heal Psychosomatic Illnesses that society often regards as “God's curse” or “sent diseases” due to witchcraft, curses, and other similar reasons.
There are many cases where analysis and various medical examinations by doctors show that someone doesn't have any physical problems, yet they complain of feeling pain in certain parts of their body.
Research results indicate that 85% of physical illnesses stem from untreated and pent-up emotional issues. This is why treating physical ailments often doesn't yield complete results because it ignores emotional issues.
Emotional or Negative Thinking Issues
Psychosomatic or somatization disorders manifest as physical symptoms due to negative thought patterns and/or emotional issues such as anger, resentment, stress, depression, disappointment, anxiety, guilt, inability to forgive, resentment, and various other negative emotions.
In short, psychosomatic disorders are physical illnesses caused by negative thoughts and/or emotional problems. This disorder not only occurs in adults but also in children.
For example, when someone is angry, scared, or anxious, it can trigger rapid heartbeat, palpitations, feeling sick, trembling, sweating, dry mouth, chest pain, headache, and rapid breathing. These physical symptoms are transmitted through brain nerves to various parts of the body, releasing adrenaline into the bloodstream.
Psychosomatic Symptoms
Psychosomatic disorders are characterized by diverse physical symptoms. However, sufferers commonly experience or complain about several symptoms such as:
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Belching
- Stomach ache
- Burning sensation
- Itchy skin
- Dizziness
- etc.
According to experts cited from luvne.com, this stems from “psycho,” meaning mind, and “soma,” meaning body, and the field where they intersect. Specifically, it's research on how many diseases start from the mind and eventually affect the body.
This relates to overall mental turmoil rather than physical issues. It's also about the mind-body interaction. Although much progress has been made through recent research, there are still large areas that remain a mystery and much yet to be understood.
The clear and established fact is that the mind has a powerful influence on the body, and psychological disturbances often manifest themselves in physical symptoms. Medical examinations usually do not reveal any organic cause, but the symptoms persist.
They are not imaginary, or patients imagining themselves being sick when they are not. They are victims of a strange psychosomatic phenomenon that is a direct result of mental and emotional disturbances.
How to Differentiate Psychosomatic from Ordinary Diseases?
Psychosomatic characteristics are marked by complaints with various physical symptoms, such as what you're experiencing, starting from stiffness, pain in specific body parts, nausea, vomiting, bloating or discomfort in the stomach, belching, and feeling generally uncomfortable.
Sometimes, people feel their skin itching, tingling, numbness, burning sensations, and so on. Headaches (like migraines), chest pains, back and spine pains, joint stiffness, and even pain during intercourse can also be caused by emotional issues.
Such complaints can last for a long time, repeatedly and interchangeably or moving from one place to another. They can be very bothersome, so it's understandable if someone repeatedly visits the doctor but doesn't get better, and often the pain/illness they experience is believed and perceived as a “sent disease” like witchcraft, curses, and God's curse.
People experiencing psychosomatic issues may find it difficult to differentiate whether the illness is psychosomatic or caused by regular organic disorders, especially if the emotional/mental issue causing the pain isn't recognized.
Hypnotherapy Is the Solution
The easiest and most accurate way to determine whether an illness is psychosomatic or ordinary is through Hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapy is the fastest solution we know to heal psychosomatic issues.
For a Professional Hypnotherapist, curing psychosomatic diseases isn't complicated. Clients are guided into a somnambulistic state (deep hypnosis) to find the root of the problem and then neutralize it.
If the problem stems from incorrect thought patterns, related to belief systems, misunderstandings, etc., then re-education or relearning is conducted so that the client has correct thoughts and new positive beliefs.
If the cause is negative emotions, such as depression, disappointment, and guilt, then the subconscious mind is encouraged to acknowledge the past as a lesson, fully accept oneself, and find happiness in the present.
Hypnotherapy for Mental Treatment
There are two types of healing for psychosomatic disorders: physical and mental healing. Physical healing is tailored to the disease. Mental treatment can be done with a Hypnotherapist or with the help of a Psychologist/Psychiatrist.
Hypnotherapy is a safe, natural, and side-effect-free treatment. Secrecy is ensured. Clients are provided therapy tailored to their physical and psychological complaints simultaneously during each therapy session.
Therapists certified in Professional Hypnotherapy can help resolve diseases and problems related to psychosomatic disorders. However, our advice: If you're sick, always consult a doctor first.
But if after medical examination the root cause of the problem isn't found, then it's highly likely you're experiencing psychosomatic issues. Similarly, if minor illnesses recur incessantly, you might be experiencing psychosomatic issues.
Psychosomatic symptoms can be alleviated with medications like painkillers, but they only provide temporary relief, and the symptoms will reappear repeatedly, sometimes in different forms because chemical-based drugs only address the symptoms.
As long as the cause (negative thought patterns and emotions) persists, the symptoms will continue.
Phobia is one of the most common Psychosomatic Illnesses around us and will continue to occur throughout a sufferer's life if not properly addressed through therapy. Phobia is a disease that is embarrassing for its sufferers. Some sufferers hesitate to express their complaints.
Their friends find it odd, and some even tease them by bringing close objects or other things that the sufferer fears, seeming amusing to healthy individuals but a torment for the sufferer.
Examples of diseases we handle include phobias of red peppers, sugar cane, rainbows, durian scents, flying, heights, disgust with eating green bean porridge, darkness, animals like cats, cockroaches, inability to sleep, dislike of eating fish, and so on.
Usually, phobia diseases have been ongoing for a long time, some even since childhood around the age of 5 or 7. Psychological signs of someone with phobias include feelings of anxiety or panic without clear reason, while physical signs include trembling, rapid heartbeat, and sometimes labored breathing.
From several sources we've studied, the term “phobia” comes from the word “phobi,” meaning irrational fear or anxiety experienced by someone. It's important to note that Phobia is a mental disorder characterized by persistent and irrational fear of certain objects or situations.
These include fear of heights (acrophobia), fear of water (hydrophobia), fear of certain animals like dogs, cockroaches, mice, snakes (zoophobia), including shyness/lack of confidence (Social Phobia), fear when speaking in public or during marketing communications (Glossophobia), and other phenomena in daily life.
In our practice, sometimes phobia sufferers are reluctant to be treated. They tend to prefer avoiding the source of the phobia and try to stay comfortable with their current condition.
This is the challenge for a therapist to provide understanding about the benefits, if their phobia issue can be overcome. Their life becomes more comfortable and no longer plagued by excessive fear, not to mention no longer becoming the subject of ridicule and mockery by others.
Hypnotherapy (Deepening Therapy)
In therapy for phobia sufferers, treatment methods can use ICT or Hypnotherapy (Deepening Therapy), sometimes one is enough. Healing with ICT (Instant Change Therapy) method,
Sufferers don't need to be put into an Alpha or Theta hypnotic state. Just chatting (Waking hypnosis) to delve into the triggers of the problem by regressing back to some years ago.
Hypnotherapy is the most accurate and fastest method to heal psychosomatic diseases like phobias safely and naturally. It's important to note that during therapy sessions, you won't be asked to confront the object you fear.
If you still feel scared, you won't be “forced” to confront that fear. You'll be guided to find the cause of the phobia, then re-learn the event that caused the phobia.
